To accompany my new book, Contemporary Lace for You, I am providing the opportunity for you to try out many of the patterns used... and lots more.
Many different kinds of Torchon lace can be made using these new patterns: patterned and textured scarves, circular and rectangular mats, necklaces and shaped pieces, both contemporary and traditional in nature.
The new patterns are supplied in packs of five (or more) related designs, each printed A3. My book aims to support you through the interpretation of your own patterns as well as commercial ones, giving all the information you need on thread selection and evaluation, as well as addressing starting and finishing. Repeating patterns such as Pine Bark, pictured, can be made in various sizes and widths, to suit your materials, to co-ordinate with outfits or just to fit the time you have available to make them.
The existing range of coloured pattern packs, which include diagrams and mini design-lectures, will eventually be expanded with extra projects from the book. There are also more patterns to be published, and new ones will be designed, so please return from time to time to review what is available.
